Hi, I’m Janice Gordon, thanks for stopping by WindowCleanKits.com. If you have questions about window cleaning DIY – I can help you get answers.
Why I Started Cleaning My Own Windows:
I moved into a house with a lot of large windows and sliding glass doors. My backyard also has a great view. However, in the afternoon the sun shines in the house and shows all of the dirt, water spots and smudges on my windows.
I decided that I definitely wanted clean windows, but I didn’t want to pay someone to come out several times a year to clean them. (Especially if I just needed to wash a few windows.)
So, I started researching window cleaning DIY to find out how an amateur (me) could get professional cleaning results on a budget. I discovered that streak-free windows comes down to the cleaning tools you use rather than the window spray.
Window Cleaning DIY – What Works Best?
I found out that high quality squeegees work really well at cleaning windows without leaving streaks. Once you learn how to swipe or fan the blade, you can wash windows quickly and get this chore done in less time than you think.
In fact, most times I use an inexpensive homemade glass cleaner to wash my windows. And sometimes I use plain water. A good, straight rubber or silicone blade can remove all the water, so you don’t have to worry about excess moisture drying on your windows – leaving marks.

Over the years, I’ve saved a lot of money on window washing. Plus, I can efficiently clean glass shower doors and mirrors now too (Bonus!).
It doesn’t take a long time to master the art of washing windows. Just have some patience in the beginning as you learn. You’ll get better and better over time.
Anyway, let me know if you have questions about window cleaning kits. I’m happy to help!
